He is a leader in the property industry and recognised as one of the best in Australia. He has a thorough understanding of the national retail scene and has dominated the CBD and suburban leasing markets for over 20 years in Western Australia. His ability to finalise projects is well documented, which has served to translate into substantial value for his clients. He has transacted more than 1,000 retail leasing deals, averaging almost 100 deals per year and overseen more projects that any other agent in Western Australia.
Jim is an integral member of most shopping centre development teams offering insight into market trends and liaising between architects and other consultants in the master planning of retail developments. He also takes an active Asset Management position within static shopping centre developments, adding significant value of behalf of clients. Additionally, Jim has significant experience in selling shopping centres and other commercial properties. He has transacted in excess of $200 million in property sales.
Jim is also an expert in retail master planning, lease negotiation and retail delivery. He has recently master planned and project leased various high profile Perth CBD precincts inclusive of Brookfield Place, enex100, 140 William, Plaza Arcade and Cloisters Arcade. He has also sold many prime CBD retail assets including Plaza Arcade, Equus Retail Arcade and the McNess Royal Building.
A leader in the national retail property market scene, Jim regularly visits the eastern states and abroad to source tenants and conceive projects, and is a regular speaker at national and international retail forums.
Jim is experienced across all factors of commercial property, leasing and management and has held Senior Executive positions within Mirvac and CB Richard Ellis, overseeing both local and national business lines. He also has extensive experience in industrial subdivision and commercial office properties.
