Jim has over 25 years of commercial property experience including retail, industrial and commercial property, sales and asset management. He is a leader in the property industry and recognised as one of the best in Australia. He has been recognised as one of 50 most influential people in property by The West Australian newspaper and most recently in the Business News Power 500.
He has a thorough understanding of the national property scene and has dominated the CBD and suburban leasing markets for over 20 years in Western Australia. His ability to finalise projects is well documented, which has served to translate into substantial value for his clients.
He has transacted over 2,000 retail leasing deals, averaging around 70 deals per year and overseen more projects than any other agent in Western Australia.
He has also sold in excess of $350 million in real estate, including Plaza Arcade ($48 million), Southern River Shopping Centre ($27 million) and Thornlie Square Shopping Centre ($21 million) making him one of WA’s leading brokers of commercial property. He is an astute property executive regularly leading asset management enhancement strategies.
Jim is a leader in the national retail property market scene, regularly visiting the eastern states and abroad to source tenants and conceive projects.
Jim is also a regular speaker at national and international retail forums.
Jim has extensive experience in analysing and implementing investment strategies aimed at increasing the value of assets and maintaining their currency over the investment’s life cycle.
He is actively involved in applying master planning and investment analysis to the various assets and businesses that he is involved. This is extended from the built form to Human Resource Management.
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR / ADMINISTRATION & HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
Karin has been in the commercial property sector for over 25 years. Working both agency and client side she has obtained a holistic knowledge of property management, leasing, sales and administration. Being employed with organisations such as AMP, Fini Group of Companies and CBRE has shaped her understanding of what it takes to be successful in the property sector.
For the past 18 years she has been instrumental in assisting in the daily operations and ownership of one of WA’s largest independently owned commercial real estate agency, Lease Equity. In her role, Karin leads the HR and Administration for a team of almost 50 staff as well as being actively involved in private enterprises and investment.
She is experienced at managing contracts and ensuring implementation is performed to a high standard. Her efficient and thorough research and screening when recruiting team members ensures a harmonious blend of maturity, experience and enthusiasm to deliver great outcomes for clients. It gives her great satisfaction to be part of a diverse and dynamic industry, working with current and future leaders in commercial property.
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR – ASSET MANAGEMENT
Albert has over 30 years of property experience applying his management and development expertise optimising clients’ asset returns. His specialised experience lies in successfully delivering retail and commercial developments, as well as overseeing high-profile redevelopment projects.
Albert has been involved in Project Managing various assets, including retail and commercial complexes, with a particular focus on several prominent shopping centres in Perth. His commitment to safeguarding the property’s best interests and that of its owner has been evident in their successful delivery and ongoing performance.
He has been integral to the success of many major developments including enex100, 100 St Georges Terrace, Midland Gate Shopping Centre, Whitford City Shopping Centre, and Sorrento Quay.
Albert’s skills in property management and development were cultivated while working with high net worth individuals and prominent institutional clients like AXA, Colonial, Gandel Retail Management, Westfield/Scentre Group and ISPT. With the same spectrum of clients at Lease Equity, Albert understands that unique strategies tailored to each owners’ objectives are crucial for maximising returns, reflecting Lease Equity’s philosophy of creating greater value for our clients.
EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO MANAGING DIRECTOR
With a career spanning over 35 years in the commercial real estate industry, Anna has extensive experience in retail, sales and leasing administration.
Specialising in retail leasing administration, Anna has valuable expertise in executive support, liaising with external stakeholders in terms of correspondence and compliance matters, and preparing documentation in accordance with relevant Acts.
Anna’s major role at Lease Equity is assistant to the Managing Director, where her knowledge and experience is well utilised.
Throughout her extensive tenure in the industry, Anna has built both national and local tenant relationships, contributing to her exceptional understanding of tenant and landlord dynamics.
SENIOR DIRECTOR – ASSET MANAGEMENT
Andrew has over 25 years’ experience in property management. Working with Lease Equity’s most prominent clients, Andrew has been at the forefront of the company’s philosophy of creating added value in retail assets under management and development, through dynamic and proactive management.
Andrew has managed the redevelopment of some of Perth’s prominent retail properties, including the iconic Plaza Arcade and Waterford Plaza Shopping Centre. His extensive knowledge of developments has led to substantial savings for property owners, increased traffic flow and record retail rents for the Perth CBD.
As Senior Director of our Asset Management Department, Andrew leads a committed Property Management team, managing over 25 Shopping Centres and numerous other commercial properties, inclusive of CBD retail, sub-regional and neighbourhood shopping centres, bulky goods showroom developments, suburban strip retail, office and numerous smaller managements.
He posesses exceptional financial literacy that has been applied to the company’s market leading management systems.
DIRECTOR - PROPERTY MANAGEMENT (SHOPPING CENTRES)
Erica has over 25 years of commercial asset management experience with exposure to retail leasing, risk management, budget forecasting, development and marketing.
As a Senior Leader she takes an active role in ensuring key relationships are developed to their full potential, including building networks with local government and community networks. Erica oversees Lease Equity’s shopping centre property management portfolio. She is responsible for all facets of the property management function ensuring cohesion, application and consultancy.
Erica played an integral role in the redevelopment of the Baldivis Shopping Centre, worth $116M, as an Assistant Development Manager she oversaw the delivery of several successful Placemaking initiatives.
With a dedication to delivering positive net operating income, she adds value to all management opportunities.
ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR - RETAIL LEASING
James has over 15 years commercial property experience across a broad range of commercial, retail, residential and industrial asset classes, with a particular emphasis on retail leasing, valuations, feasibilities, analytical reporting and analysis for a variety of commercial and retail projects.
James is a licensed valuer with broad industry knowledge and analytical approach. This has seen him develop a reputation for providing exceptional client service with an emphasis on adding value to an asset. Through his comprehensive understanding of the retail and commercial markets, James continues to deliver beyond clients’ expectations and ensures sustainable value is added to their assets.
James heads the Retail Leasing Team at Lease Equity.
He has extensive leasing involvement in many high-profile assets ranging from the Perth CBD, shopping centre and high street developments, including Allendale Square, Beaux Lane, Waterford Plaza Shopping Centre, Brookfield Place, Bunbury Forum Shopping Centre and Watertown Brand Outlet Centre and Kingsway City Shopping Centre.
