The Property Council of Australia is the peak body representing major property stakeholders in Australia. Lease Equity has a proud association of over 10 years with the Property Council as the premier retail partner in Western Australia.We are actively involved in educating the industry, including providing senior Lease Equity staff to speak to the property industry.
As the most high profile municipality, the City of Perth oversees much of what all West Australians regard as their City. Senior Lease Equity executives actively participate with the Lord Mayor, Councilors and Senior Administrative staff in enhancing the place making of the City and overcoming any hurdles or problems that we foresee. We have a very strong relationship with the City and one that we have found to be most collaborative and supportive for all stakeholders.
Lease Equity is proudly involved with the “Historic Heart” Project, initiated in January 2016 to revitalise the east end of the Perth CBD spanning from Barrack Street to the Perth Mint. As part of the Steering Committee, Lease Equity will play a key role in transforming the existing neighbourhood into a vibrant destination for both the local community and visitors to the city.
Lease Equity are proud to support the Western Suburbs Business Association. The associations Vision is “Supporting and encouraging a vibrant and sustainable Subiaco business community”. The Western Suburbs Business Association is a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry was established in 1983 and is an independent, not for profit, membership based organisation with a focus on developing and delivering member benefits, advocacy and events. The association was formed as a result of a recognised requirement to establish an association which would meet the needs of business operators grow business opportunities within Subiaco and encourage new business development to the area. Since its formation, the association has sought to improve communication with the City of Subiaco and Government Authorities and market Subiaco as a desirable business destination. The association continues to service its growing membership through the provision of networking events, marketing and business support, mentoring and advisory services with the introductory of the SUBIZ™ Awards in 2010. As of late 2010, the association expanded its boundaries and also began to sign up members from the City of Nedlands’ business community.
Lease Equity are proud to support Perth’s largest festival of design, Open House Perth. Open House Perth opens the doors for the public to explore some of Perth’s most iconic destinations and celebrates quality built environments including architecture, interiors, landscape, public art and urban design. With Lease Equity so intimately involved in shaping the Perth CBD’s retail amenity, we welcome and embrace the activations of otherwise private spaces during this ambitious and innovative festival.
David Wirrpanda was an exceptional footballer representing the West Coast Eagles in a distinguished career spanning over 15 years. He has now started the David Wirrpanda Foundation which oversees programs enriching the lives of young West Australians, particularly indigenous children. The Foundation has done wonderful work throughout this State and is in the process of embarking upon expansion into the Eastern States. Lease Equity has provided financial support and mentoring support to David Wirrpanda in the running of this Foundation.
Melanie Strathdee was the designer of Lease Equity’s corporate headquarters fitout. It is a stunning fitout recognised by most observers as one of the most unique and striking fitouts in the commercial office arena.Melanie and her husband Todd, also oversee Leo & Lotus which provides opportunities for Artisans and impoverished people in third world countries, including India and Pakistan. They assist women to gain their dignity by being taught how to be self sufficient. Lease Equity are proud supporters of Melanie and Todd’s endeavors, both financially and by offering opportunities for them to meet key stakeholders to assist in this work.
Lease Equity recognises the significance of the Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital as one of the principle hospitals in Perth Western Australia. We have donated a number of art pieces by renowned artists to the hospital to brighten the day of those who have been afflicted by illness.
We have enormous respect for the Strike a Chord for Cancer group led by John Zaccaria. Lease Equity regularly donates to the Strike a Chord Foundation and its endeavors to improve the lives of young children afflicted by cancer. This depilating disease strikes many young Western Australians and is dear to the hearts of the Lease Equity team.
The Beaufort Street Network has been put together by Retailers and Landlords of the Beaufort Street precinct. Lease Equity is a proud member of the Collective which amongst other significant endeavors organises the Beaufort Street festival. As Lease Equity manages many properties along the vibrant Beaufort Street strip and has been involved in resculpting the strip, we are keenly involved in ensuring it will remain one of Perth’s premier retailing precinct.
Lease Equity is a proud partner of the Matera Foundation, whose vision is to meet and address the growing lack of employment opportunities for Indigenous Australians through an Indigenous Career Alignment Strategy (ICAS). The foundation seeks to create real opportunities for Aboriginal Australians to engage with mainstream employment, through personal development programs designed and delivered by people who have forged successful careers across a range of industries.
